High School Bible Study

NEW!
Starting Thursday, September 16, the High School Bible Study will start a new study series by TrueU: Does God Exist?
Do you really believe that what you believe is really real? Does God exist? Can we prove the existence of God, or are we left to grapple in the dark and take blind leaps of faith about what we believe?
Everyone asks these questions, and maybe you think you have the answers. But can you defend your beliefs when peers and professors are challenging your worldview?
In TrueU: Does God Exist? Dr. Stephen Meyer plays a “hilosophical survival game” pitting four worldviews against one another in the quest to decided wich one gives the best answers. Dr. Meyer helps you examine the evidence and provides the tools needed to defend your faith and make it your own. You will be equipped to defend your faith and become a world changer in an increasingly hostile culture.
Parents are welcome!
Nathan Hiner nathan@countryoaks.org is Director of Student Ministries.

We provide the opportunity through monthly gatherings where planned group activities are scheduled. These activities consist of game nights, movie nights, visits to points of interest, scripture moments, and outreach activities. When we meet locally, we always include potluck meals to share our favorite dishes.
The Senior Saints Ministry is a committee-run ministry that consists of very special individuals that have voluteered extra time to develop and organize annual fellowship activities. The committee coordinates all functions of the minsitry and schedules and prepares monthly activity events for our gatherings.

Sparks (Kindergarten-2nd grade)
Though club night is very exciting for the kids, and often the highlight of their week, we recognize that most of the spiritual instruction is going to happen as parents help their kids memorize the verses at home and explain the meaning of each verse. Our “AWANA at Home” program helps parents learn how to bring the three key elements of AWANA into your home: Scripture memory, Bible teaching, and game time.

That’s one reason for Grief Share, a special support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer comfort and encouragement during this difficult time. It’s a place where many people have found that they can begin putting their lives back together again.
Grief Share features nationally recognized experts on grief and recovery topics. Sessions include:
- Living with Grief
- The Journey of Grief
- The Effects of Grief
- When Your Spouse Dies
- Your Family and Grief
- Why?
- The Uniqueness of Grief, Part 1
- The Uniquenss of Grief, Part 2
- God’s Prescription for Grief
- Stuck in Grief
- Top Twenty Lessons of Grief, Part 1
- Top Twenty Lessons of Grief, Part 2
- Heaven
Each session is “self-contained” so that you don’t feel obligated to attend in sequence. You will find encouragement and help whenever you attend.
Griefshare meets in the Conference Room at Country Oaks Baptist Church, Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm. For more infomation call 822-1379.
